Safety Primary Activity

I took Natalie & Nathan to a really fun Primary activity on Safety. They got to make safety kits out of old Altoid boxes, so cute! Then the San Marcos Fire Department came and talked to the kids about what to do if there's a fire in your house. Nathan was absolutely terrified of them, especially after one of the fire-fighters put on the protective gear and breathing mask. He hid behind me in the back corner of the room the entire time!

After that the kids got to go outside and look at all the cool gadgets on the Firetruck (with the exception of Nathan who refused to go outside and instead watched the Primary president cut up watermelon in the kitchen). Once that was over they turned on the waterhose and let the kids play in the spray. Of course mine wouldn't go near it.

Fortunately at that point they brought out the watermelon which was all my kids needed to be happy. What fun!

That's a fun activity. And getting sprayed down by a firehose in this heat - sign me up!

I like the one eye picture of Natham eating the watermelon because that one eye bit is used when he says the pray at dinner time. Opps! I am telling on myself; I must be looking too :)

That is the coolest primary activity! What a great idea, I can't wait until Arthur is old enough for things like this.
