Fun at the Beach!

We enjoyed the last weekend of September at the beach in Corpus Christi. It was our only chance to go before Dan started working the weekend shift and it worked out perfectly - Fall arrived the day after we got back with our first cold front!

We stayed right on the beach (literally spittin' distance to the ocean!) and spent all day going back and forth from the pool to the beach since it was so close. We were there for only 3 days but we enjoyed every minute of it - relaxing on our hotel balcony on the 7th floor, watching the sun come up each morning, catching the rays, building sand castles, and lots of swimming! Oh and don't forget all the eating! Pretty much everything that is usually on the "no" list was our diet that weekend - chili dogs, chips, soda, donuts, pizza, ice-cream, candy, bbq, and more! Good thing it was only for 3 days!! haha

I took tons of pictures so here's the best in the most condensed form I could make it...

Time to relax!

Our kids are fish in water :)

Playing in the sand is pretty fun too!

Fun in the sun!

The USS Lexington - right next to the hotel we stayed at!

It was so good to get away for a weekend and enjoy time together as a family. We've been so busy with the move and getting settled into our new life here in Texas - and this beach trip was the perfect cure! I'm missing it already and can't wait to do it again in the Spring!!

Classic Fun Center!

We got summer season passes to the Classic Fun Center in Utah - lots of fun and we went there a lot! They have an indoor skating rink for bikes, scooters, and skates, as well as a huge jungle gym, inflatables, and outdoor splash park with water slides. Needless to say, our kids absolutely loved going here!

Souveniers - vampire teeth!

Tyler had just taken his out - they all still play with those plastic teeth!
Yep, I can honestly say that I miss taking the kids to this place. We could spend hours there, usually with friends. And they had the best pizza! We will definitely have to go to classic when we visit Utah!

Stadium of Fire

We had the opportunity to attend the Stadium of Fire concert/fireworks at the BYU stadium for 4th of July this year. It was so much fun!!! The entertainment was great - several local performers (whose names I've forgotten) and for the big concert.... my favorite country singer ever..... Carrie Underwood!!! Thank you to Dan's work for giving all its employees tickets to this great event - and matching t-shirts too!!

Nathan insisted on wearing his Batman cape to the concert - it helped us keep track of him!

Enjoying the cotton candy!

Getting ready for the big show...

Carrie Underwood!!!!!!

Can you believe Tyler fell asleep during the concert??!
He slept through the whole thing!

We had a BLAST!!!

Notice: Pictures to come!!

It has been pointed out to me that I have not put any pictures on my blog recently - that is about to be remedied! Since I am stuck at home right now with sick kiddos I figure I should make use of my time and get back to what blogging is all about - showing off my kids!! (what? that's not making use of my time? I really should be doing laundry and cleaning??)

So I'm going to try and post as many pics as I can with as little blogging as possible. Be on the lookout!
