Backyard Fun!

Now that it feels like Spring is here, we've been enjoying our backyard!
Natalie posing for the camera!
Nathan & Tyler - can you tell which one likes having his picture taken??

What started out as watering the grass turned into an all-out water fight!
Kids vs. Daddy - who do you think won?!
I'm sure this is just the beginning... we are so happy to have a backyard (that is fenced in) to play in!

Dads and Donuts

This last week the kids had "Dads & Donuts" Day at school. That's when all the dads are invited to come in to school early and enjoy donuts, fruit, and juice with their kids before school starts. Natalie and Nathan were so excited for Daddy to take them to school (a rare occurrance)! Dan definitely gets special points for going - he had only had about an hour of sleep since he got off work the night before. What a great way for the kids to do something special with their Dad! This is just another reason why we love our school. :)

Pretty in Pink

We tried something new with Natalie's hair a few Sundays ago and it turned out...
Beautiful!!!
Natalie is typically not interested in me doing anything to her hair that takes longer than 3 minutes (ie- quick blow-dry or ponytail) but since we had all morning to get ready for church she was willing to let me try to curl her hair. I've tried before with a curling iron and the curls just fall out, so this time I used my flat iron and it turned out perfect!
Thank you, Natalie, for letting me curl your hair - I love seeing your girly side come out, and I love you in your curls! You are absolutely gorgeous!!

Little Brother

The other day I noticed the house was unusually quiet since all the kids were home. I then realized that they were all in Natalie's room and she was busy! When they finally came out, this was what was presented to me...
Tyler - the little brother!
(and therefore, the one who gets dressed up by his older siblings)
Don't they look so proud of their work!

"Am I pretty?"

Good thing Tyler doesn't mind being the little brother!
(don't worry- I had them change as soon as the pics were done!)
I love watching my kids interact and all the fun things they come up with. It's apparent how much they love one another, and truly enjoy spending time with each other.
