Last Day of School

It's official! Natalie is finished with her first year of school, and is now officially in 1st Grade!

The last day of school was optional at Natalie's school but Natalie insisted on going for the one-hour day they were having so she could give Mrs. C the card she had made for her. We had considered doing something nicer (like flowers or chocolate) but knowing the parents I figured Natalie's teacher would receive lots of those things. So Natalie made her a beautiful card covered in glittery flowers that told Mrs. C how much she loved having her as a teacher. It may seem obvious that Natalie would adore her Kindergarten teacher but Natalie is unlike other kids in that she's had 2 teachers this year. And in comparison, Mrs. C won by far.

I can't believe Natalie is now in 1st grade! She seems so big now (and not just in her size!) - seeing how Natalie has matured and grown this past year in school has been amazing to watch. She had perfect scores on her report card in every area, and this is probably just a mom thing, but I think she is the smartest kid!! :)
