New Job

Over the summer Dan had the opportunity to interview for several different jobs at a company in Utah. The first one didn't work out (although we were certain it would) so we didn't get our hopes up after that. The second job Dan interviewed for seemed like a better fit for him, but then they told him it wasn't open yet and asked him if he could wait for it to be approved. Of course he said yes.

And so we waited. ..2 weeks.... 4 weeks....6 weeks....And then we found ourselves out in Utah on our trip. Since we still hadn't heard anything Dan decided to call the company. Still nothing....we came home. Dan flew back out to Utah for 2 more weeks, and still nothing.... until...the end of his last week there. They called him in for another interview, and afterwards let him know he was their only candidate.

And if you know my husband then you won't be surprised when I tell you that he did not inform me of ANY of this until he came home, casually mentioning to me that he might be getting a job offer from this company out in Utah.

WHAT?!?!!!

And sure enough, the very next week Dan got a job offer - he accepted it. And he starts next monday.

So what does that mean for our family? We are CRAZY BUSY getting our house ready to put on the market for sale so that the kids and I can join Dan out in Utah as soon as possible! So if you know anyone wanting to buy a house down here....send them our way!!! And wish us luck :) Thank you!
