We stayed right on the beach (literally spittin' distance to the ocean!) and spent all day going back and forth from the pool to the beach since it was so close. We were there for only 3 days but we enjoyed every minute of it - relaxing on our hotel balcony on the 7th floor, watching the sun come up each morning, catching the rays, building sand castles, and lots of swimming! Oh and don't forget all the eating! Pretty much everything that is usually on the "no" list was our diet that weekend - chili dogs, chips, soda, donuts, pizza, ice-cream, candy, bbq, and more! Good thing it was only for 3 days!! haha

The USS Lexington - right next to the hotel we stayed at! It was so good to get away for a weekend and enjoy time together as a family. We've been so busy with the move and getting settled into our new life here in Texas - and this beach trip was the perfect cure! I'm missing it already and can't wait to do it again in the Spring!!

So fun! Glad you had a great time. Kelly's moving back to Vegas, did you hear? We miss you and we miss her already--she leaves later this month. Crazy how the neighborhood is already changing. New families moving in and you two staple families gone. So glad you got a great vacation before Dan works weekends.
Okay - I have been the worst friend! I kept meaning to call you since we got back from Utah (I know, ages ago) but never did, obviously. You've been on my mind the whole time, though! I'm happy you're back in Texas; maybe we'll join you in a few years. I'm glad Dan is happy in school. Your new pictures are great - everyone has grown up a lot. Go eat some Round Rock donuts and Blue Bell ice cream for me and make a trip to the Salt Lick! Oooh, and get some Rudy's. And some sweet potato fries from Kerbey Lane. Oh man, I really need to get back there!
If is good that you did this family activity. Every body is happy as the pictues show. Those are good memories.
