Fatness and Prayer

Dan is on a diet. I won't go into any details about his "diet" because honestly it's not really a diet (borderline starvation if you ask me). Why is he on a diet? Well, let's just say he gained a bit of sympathy weight while I was pregnant with Tyler, and has continued to do so ever since Tyler was born. And now he's trying to get back down to his "safe to run long distances" weight.

The kids and I are trying to be really supportive of Dan during this next month while he's "dieting." He does not eat meals with us but eats/drinks his separately. So of course every time the we sit down to a meal at least one of the kids runs to go get Daddy and tell him it's dinnertime! I'm sure he's very appreciative of that information. And they make sure to always ask him if he wants to eat our dinner with us. Again, he's loving that ("no thanks, I really don't want any pizza!")
But the icing on the cake happened last night as we sat down to dinner. Dan was in the kitchen preparing his "meal" so could hear what took place. It was Natalie's turn to say the prayer and in it she said this,
"Please bless Daddy to help him lose some of his fatness."
Yeah, we laughed a LOT. Good thing it was at the end of the prayer!
I'm not sure if Dan had taken his diet to that level yet, but it can't hurt. ;)

Fatness I really understand. Go Dan. Good luck on the diet Dan. Natalie, your prayers are wonderful.

Dan,
My favorite scripture:
2 Nephi 9:51 "...let your soul delight in FATNESS".
Need I say more?!

I love kids prayers! My hubby's always trying to loose his "fatness" too, but refuses to do anything about his diet. Working out can only go so far...you know what I mean? Ahh, well, what are we to do?
