Our Family News!

There is a reason why I've been slacking off on my blog lately. Actually, several reasons....

  • Exhaustion

  • Sleepless nights

  • Napping any chance I get

  • Food aversions

  • Leg Cramps

  • Morning Sickness

Have you guessed yet what these symptoms mean???

Yes, I am PREGNANT!!!

My due date is 11/11/11 - isn't that the coolest?! Of course all of our babies have come early so I'm just hoping we don't have a Halloween baby!

I am now 19 weeks along and have had multiple ultrasounds that indicate everything is going perfectly so far with the pregnancy. We are so happy and feel so blessed to be welcoming this little one into our family. We were cautious at first to get excited (at least I was) so now that we are half-way there I finally feel like I am going to have a baby!

And if you're wondering whether it's a boy or girl....

We are having a BOY!!!

And after some initial disappointment that lasted about 2 minutes at the Dr's office, we just felt relieved that everything looks good with this baby. Natalie came with us because she wanted to "make sure" this baby was a girl. But she's resigned herself to the fact that she will just have brothers. And let's face it - we love having boys and boys are what we know!

We couldn't be happier and can't wait to meet our new little guy this Fall!

Tyler's News

Not to be outdone by his older brother and sister, Tyler decided to make some news of his own. And when I say "news" I actually mean a huge ACHIEVEMENT. It is not something to be taken lightly, and definitely not to be laughed at. In fact, it's a pretty big deal because it sets apart the babies from the BIG kids. Have you figured out his news yet??

It may be hard to tell just by looking at this cute boy...

But what you cannot see in these pictures is actually something that is no longer there...
The answer: Diapers!!!
It's official - Tyler is completely potty-trained and no longer has the need for diapers!
Over a month ago Tyler decided to start using the toilet on a regular basis. After a week of no accidents at home we tried venturing out and he did great! So we rewarded him with new underwear (hand-me-downs from Nathan aren't so fun) and he's been doing great ever since.

Our Big Boy (not a baby anymore!)
Congratulations, Tyler!!!
We are SO proud of you!

(birthday pics coming soon)

Nathan's News

Look at the following 2 pictures...

Can you see the difference?

If you can't tell, Nathan lost his FIRST TOOTH!!!

He was so happy when he noticed his first wiggly loose tooth. He had been asking when he was going to start losing his teeth - his stress was due to the fact that Natalie started losing her teeth at age 4 and here Nathan was already 5 with no teeth falling out yet! The injustice!!

After a few weeks of poking and prodding at his tooth it finally came out! You can't imagine how pleased our little man was with himself for being able to pull it out. You also can't imagine how many questions he asked about the details concerning the tooth fairy. The anticipation sure made it hard for him to fall asleep that night! But when the morning came...

A surprise from the tooth fairy! Can you see the look of pure joy on Nathan's face?

He found money and gum in the tooth pillow - Nathan's favorite things!!

One happy boy with a window in his mouth!

Natalie's News

Natalie is the proud new owner of our newest family member - "Sammy" the ferret! I've waited to post this for two reasons, 1) I wanted to make sure this was a good fit for our family, and 2) to see if the other ferret that we got would be found after escaping the first week we had her. Unfortunately she did not return and no one responded to our flyers. So instead of having two new ferrets we just have the one. But don't worry - we're not complaining! Sammy is absolutely wonderful and the best addition to our family. She doesn't seem to mind being the only ferret and loves all the attention she recieves. Just take a look at our adorable little creature...

Sammy loves shoes and tried to climb into all of ours - but she only fits inside Dan's!!

Our sweet little Sammela :)

She has many names already - Sam, Sammy, Sammela Pammela, Sam Sam, Sweet Stinky girl, etc. You get the idea!

Did I mention how curious she is? It's hilarious watching Sammy try to get into things and see what she can fit into. Dan has ferrets as a kid so he knows all about them. Like how to clean the cage (his job), what to feed them (Natalie's job), bathe them (Natalie's job), and play with them (we all do that, even Hank!)

Welcome to the family, Sammy! We love you so much!!!
