April Fun

The month of April started out bitter cold with a huge snow storm at Easter. Once it started to warm up we were eager to go outside - even with all the snow!

Look at all that snow!!
Tyler loves scooting on his tricycle

Once the snow started to melt we decided to venture out and get season passes to the Hogle Zoo in SLC this year...
The kids love going to the zoo so it was a good choice!

Strikin' a pose

Nathan my little man (sorry I cut you out Natalie!)

Fascination with the elephants - never gets old!

When the snow was gone in the valley we met up with Dan at a park near his work where he runs on the trail everyday at lunch
There were ducks for us to feed in the stream nearby

We love to feed the ducks!

Fun times! :)

After the ducks we went to a playground that is literally right next to Dan's work
Tyler decided he could go down the big slides all by himself!

Of course Nathan likes to go up the slides instead (you can see Dan's work building in the background)
What a fun playground!

This was our first day in Utah that actually wasn't freezing - we loved it!!!

Dressing Up

Tyler loves to dress up - whether it's putting our shoes (this is daily) or an all-out costume from the dress-up bin. During the month of March when it seemed unlikely that we'd ever be able to leave our house due to all the snow, dressing up became a favorite pasttime around our house. Here are some fun pics of Tyler trying out different styles:

He got a bit of help with this ensemble

"Cheese!"

This next outfit Tyler picked out all by himself...
Yep, this is going in the "Show to future girlfriends" file

Sometimes it's more fun to hide in a basket

Tyler doesn't mind all those pillows!

Tyler found Nathan's boots- he can't wait to grow into them!

That's my cute boy :)

Easter 2010

The candy-eating started early this year with special packages from both Grandma's filled with candy for the kids- you can see how excited they were to open up the package and see what's inside!
Oh the anticipation!

Thank you Grandmas for all the special treats!!

What?! There's more??

We decorated eggs this year over Easter weekend. It was a lot of fun and a little messy - as you can see Natalie was much more into it than the boys!

On Easter morning (after the initial sugar rush died off) the kids decided to set up camp in the living room while we watched General Conference.

Later in the day they decided to dress up...
My superhero boys!

As I tried to get them to do different things for the camera Natalie and Nathan would do it while Tyler would watch... then Tyler would do it a few seconds later. It was so funny to watch!
First Natalie...then Tyler!

How they make us laugh!

My Easter Bunnies!
Can you see all the fresh snow behind them? It looked more like Christmas than Easter here at our house!
"Snow!"

Sitting down for a fabulous Easter dinner - glazed spiral cut ham, cheesy scalloped potatoes, glazed carrots, and bread. YUM!

Thank you Sam's for a delicious and cute Easter dessert!
(Tyler can't figure out why we're waiting to eat it!)

Happy Easter!!!

Fun with Dad!

The other day we all went to the mall - a rare experience for our family! Usually just Natalie and I go when we have our "girl days" but this time we dragged the boys along with us. The kids had a lot of fun with Dan while I got some shopping done - thanks babe for helping out! :)

They loved riding the carousel at the food court - see Natalie riding her favorite animal? a cat of course!

(you can probably guess what she wished for... a cat!)
